TACOMA, Wa. – James (Jimmy) Garrison Jr. passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010.

Formerly of Murfreesboro, Jimmy was with the U.S. Army and was stationed in Washington State at the time of his death.

He graduated from Murfreesboro High School and attended Chowan College.

Survivors include his wife and four children; his parents, Joyce and Jim Garrison of Murfreesboro and Wilmington; a brother, Darrell Garrison of Wilmington; and two sisters, Lisa Lane of Murfreesboro and Joy Luke of Ahoskie.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be scheduled at a later date in Murfreesboro.

If so desired, donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to Chowan University.
