ARKANSAS CITY, Ark. – Cynthia Ann Walker, 53, of Arkansas City, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side.

Memorial graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery of Winfield.

Cremation has been effected.

Cindy was born November 26, 1956, in Portsmouth, Virginia to C.E. and Virginia (Broglin) Tilly. She was reared and educated in Virginia and Arkansas City by her mother and step-father Virginia and Freddy Scott. Cindy married Steven Meyer in 1983, he preceded her in death in 2001. Cindy married Randy Walker in 2006. She was a homemaker, but had worked at Mossmans, Gillilands, and Pizza Hut. She was a member and past president of the Spencer Ralston Post 1254 VFW Auxiliary and den mother of Boy Scout Troop #328. Cindy enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Randy, of the home; two sons, Jason Meyer, Christopher and his wife Lisa Walker, all of Arkansas City; a daughter Stevi and her husband, Sgt. Jeffrey Walker, of Fort Gordon, Georgia; step-sons Tim and his wife Cheryl Walker of Newkirk, Oklahoma; Stephen Walker of Arkansas City; Brooke Peters of Geuda Springs; her parents, Virginia and Freddy Scott of Arkansas City; and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Tilly, and first husband, Steven Meyer.

A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
