Emily Southall Lawrence of Richmond, VA died Monday, August 16, 2010.
A native of Murfreesboro, N.C., she was the daughter of Carl Capehart and Bessie Hancock Lawrence. Her brother, Carl Capehart Lawrence Jr., preceded her in death in September, 1980; and her sister, Corinne Lawrence Hudson, preceded her in death in June, 2005.
She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and retired from the Boys and Girls Department of the Richmond Public Library.
She is survived by four nieces, Elizabeth Hudson Lester of Meadowview, Va., Susan Hudson Nixon of Zebulon, N.C., Ivy Lawrence Russell of Cary, N.C., and Bess Lawrence Terrell of Charlotte, N.C.; two great-nieces, Deborah Nixon and Sarah Nixon Fox; and three great-nephews, John Stott Jr., Dwight Lawrence Lester and Capehart Terrell.
There will be no service. Burial will be in the Southall-Lawrence Cemetery, Murfreesboro, N.C.
