James Blowe, Jr., 71, was born August 5, 1938 to the late Janie Blowe of Como and departed this life July 16, 2010 at his home in Murfreesboro.
He was retired from Northrop Grumman Shipyard in Newport News, Va.
Survivors include a loving wife Elizabeth Blowe of Murfreesboro; three sons, James C. Benton (Sharita) of Fredericksburg, Va., Pastor Jeffery A. Blowe (Michelle) of Newport News, Va. and Barry A. Blowe (Brenda) of Lawrenceville, Va.; two daughters, Shawn D. Blowe of Murfreesboro and Latisha E. Blowe of Cary; a sister, Mary L. Taylor of Newport News, Va.; three brothers, Lincoln Blowe of Philadelphia, Pa., Leroy Blowe of New Jersey and McArthur Blowe of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at First Baptist Church Murfreesboro by the Rev. Robert Richardson, III. Burial will follow in Carver’s Park Cemetery.
