Juanita Eddins Edwards, 87, of Emporia, Va. died Friday, July 2, 2010.
Survivors include her husband of over 70 years, James C. Edwards Sr.; her daughter, Elaine E. Wheeler and husband, Ben, of Emporia, Va.; two sons, Clifton Edwards of Como, NC and Glenn Edwards and wife, Fran, of Boykins, Va.; two grandchildren, Robert W. Edwards of Como, NC and Melundy E. Vandiford and husband, Brian, of Pendleton, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Bridgette and Brittany Vandiford and Jonathan Edwards.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Emma Eddins; a daughter, Phyllis E. Clary; a grandson, Bob Wheeler; one brother and two sisters.
The funeral service, led by The Reverend Dr. Robert P. Wyatt and Pastor Michael Baugham, was held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt, Virginia. Interment followed at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Harrison, Arthur Avent Jr., D. L. Phillips, Earl Clements, Ronny Griffin and Ronnie Cobb.
