Jackson-Hoggard named Central Principal

JACKSON – Catina Jackson-Hoggard has been appointed principal of Central Elementary School.
She replaces Mary Harrell-Sessoms, who retired after 33 years of service.
Jackson-Hoggard has been the Assistant Principal of Willis Hare Elementary School for three years. Prior to that she was Reading First Reading Coach at Willis Hare Elementary School for three years and a teacher at Rich Square-W.S. Creecy Elementary School for nine years. She also served as a trainer at North Carolina Teacher Academy for 10 years.
“I am honored that our district has selected me,” said Jackson-Hoggard. “This school has a remarkable reputation and I am eager and excited to work with the students, staff, and parents of Central Elementary School and look forward to us moving to the next level by preparing our students for the 21st Century.”
Jackson-Hoggard holds a M.S.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from North Carolina Central University and a B.A. in Pre-Law/Political Science from North Carolina State University. Jackson-Hoggard received her Elementary Education Licensure from Chowan University.

Bracy. “We look forward to Mrs. Jackson-Hoggard’s leadership among the Central Elementary School students, staff, and parents.”
