Mr. James Randolph Edwards Sr., 65 of 4347 NC HWY 35, Conway, NC, was summoned home to eternal rest on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
“Bud”, as he was so fondly known, was born February 22, 1945 in Jackson, NC to the late James Ernest and Mary Lou Deloatch Edwards.
For several years, he was employed with Georgia Pacific, Murfreesboro, NC
He leaves not to mourn his untimely passing, but to reflect upon his precious memories: his daughter, Angella Edwards-Lee (Joel) of Highland Park, NJ; his son, James R. Edwards Jr. of Greensboro, NC; a step-son, Christopher E. Stephenson of New Jersey; four brothers, Toy Edwards of Jamaica, NY, Fennell and Alphonza Edwards, both of Jackson, NC, and Carnell Edwards of Conway, NC; 14 grandchildren, four nieces, one nephew, six aunts, two uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
Professional services have been entrusted with Faison’s Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Park Street, Seaboard, NC, where a viewing will be held from 1-7 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Northampton County High School-East, Conway, NC, with the Rev. Frank O. Sanders officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Edwards Family Cemetery, Jackson, NC.
