William McKinley Pierce of Ahoskie died on Monday June 7, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn J. Pierce, Ahoskie; six sons, William M. Pierce, Jr. of Ahoskie, Carl D. Pierce of Troutville, Va., Howard Pierce of Stanford, Conn., Gregory Pierce of Murrita, Calif., Robert “Bob” Pierce of Ladylake, Fla. and William McCoy Pierce of Ahoskie; seven daughters, Lois Exner of Oregon, Ann Newman of Roanoke, Va., Carolyn Daleso of Texas, Anita Pierce of California, Barbara Pierce and Deborah Bristow, both of Ahoskie, Hope Parker of Seaboard; six sisters, Josephine Pierce of Ahoskie, Algie Worley of Clearwater, Fla., Janice Jones of Lovettsville, Va., Vernell P. Alston of Franklinton, Geraldine A. Beverly of Philadelphia, Pa. and Alma P. Wright of Edison, NJ; a brother, Walter Pierce of Ahoskie; and 36 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at New Ahoskie Baptist Church, Ahoskie. Interment will be at the Pierce Family Cemetery in Ahoskie on Newsome Grove Road.
