Bettie Joyce Bunch Veale, 48, of Church Lane, Windsor, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC.
She was born November 13, 1961 in Bertie County.
Veale was an Usher and Adult Choir Member of Church of God for all People – Windsor, NC; a graduate of Bertie High School and Martin Community College; and a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Chi Gamma
She was last employed as a medical assistant with Roanoke Orthopedics in Williamston, NC
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Bunch; brothers, Roy Edward Bunch and Cornell Veale Sr.; and twin grandsons, Elisha and Elijah Bazemore
Survivors include her husband, William L. Veale of the home; a son, Montrae White of Windsor, NC; a daughter, Monika Stephney (Benjamin) of Windsor, NC; her mother, Ruby Cherry Bunch of Windsor, NC; brothers, Robert Bunch and Joseph Bunch (Pearline), both of Windsor, NC; and sisters, Barbara Ward (Pete) of Chesapeake, VA, Mary B. Cherry, Edna Hendrix and Linda Futrell (Danny), all of Windsor, Gloria Askew of Powellsville, NC and Glennette Smallwood (Ervin) of Durham, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Church of God for all People, Windsor, NC, with Pastor Joseph Watson officiating. Burial will be in the Church of God for All People Cemetery.
