Margaret Marie Lassiter, 68, of Benthall Bridge Road, Woodland, died Tuesday, May 25 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Northampton County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Senior Choir at Menola Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Lassiter of the home; her mother, Josie Liverman Lassiter of Woodland; sons, Raymond Lassiter of Murfreesboro and Frank Lassiter of Rich Square; daughters, Betty Lassiter and Delinah Lassiter, both of Murfreesboro, Christine Carter of Pendleton and Denita Lassiter of Greenville; sisters, Helen Deloatch of Milwaukee, Gladys Reese and Mable Boone, both of Conway; Mary Ann Moore of Philadelphia, PA and Julia Williams of New York, NY; brothers, Elton Lassiter and Gary Lassiter, both of Philadelphia, PA and Richard Lassiter of Conway; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at Menola Baptist with the Rev. Johnnie Speller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
