Elsie Jenkins Lankford Bryant, 85, died Thursday, May 20, 2010.
She was born in Hertford County and was a retired clerk with the city of Franklin and was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda L. Slaughter of Newport, NC; a son, Robert A. Lankford of Racine, WI; step-daughter, Barbara B. Merchant of The Plains, VA; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 24 in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Hyatt and the Rev. Lafayette Wilkins officiating. Interment followed in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
