Robert Michael Hepner, 57, passed peacefully at Hospice of Catawba County with many friends by his side on May 2, 2010. He had fought a short battle with cancer.
Robert was born in Lawrenceville, Va., moved to Ahoskie at an early age and as a teenager to Hickory. He was the son of the late Myron and Rachel Hepner.
Robert was a really good person of deep faith and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 339 Second Avenue, Hickory on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Pat Pearce officiating.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to CVBH for being a caring family to Robert and to Hospice of Catawba County for their loving care during the last days of his life.

Left cherish his memory are his sisters, Judy Hughson and her husband, John, of Morgantown, Ky., Jean Ueckert and her fiancé, Sterling Buell, of Topanga, Calif., Sandra Tucker and her husband, Kevin, of Virginia Beach, Va. and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
