Nellie Frances Goodson Dix, 78, of Ashley’s Grove Road, Conway, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
She was born in Washington County, Va.
Survivors include her husband, George Lea Dix; a daughter, Donna Turner of Roanoke Rapids; a son, Kenneth Dix of Conway; a brother, Franklin R. Goodson of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Margaret Rice of Providence; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19 at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson.
