Cable Thomas “C.T.” White Jr. of Pittmantown Road, Suffolk, Va. died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Suffolk, Va.
Born in Chowan County, he was the retired owner and operator of White’s Poultry Farms and a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church, where served as a deacon, treasurer and a trustee. White was Navy veteran and served during WWII.
Survivors include two daughters, Dale White of Suffolk, Va. and Deborah Dail of Chesapeake, Va.; a son, T. Neal White of Wellford, SC; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19 at Reynoldson Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Higginson and the Rev. Billy Presley officiating.
A private entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Suffolk, Va.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the C.T. and Virginia D. White Scholarship Fund, Reynoldson Baptist Church, in care of Charles Cale, 8353 Longstreet Lane, Suffolk, VA 23438.
