Items stolen from Margarettsville home

MARGARETTSVILLE — The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a breaking and entering here.
According to NCSO Chief Detective Captain D.M. Harmon, the crime was discovered Thursday at approximately 5:45 a.m. by the victim who was returning to their home on Mt. Carmel Road from work.
The thief or thieves gained entry through the side door of the residence.
Harmon said several items were taken from the home, including a .45 caliber black powder rifle, a rifle with a scope, a .22 caliber rifle, a 12 gauge shotgun and a BB gun.
Electronics were also stolen, including a 42 inch flat screen Toshiba television, a PlayStation 2 game system and a Sony camcorder.
Deputy John Turner was the responding officer.
Harmon urged the public’s help in developing a suspect(s).
