Theodore Roosevelt Fields, 75, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
He was a native of Wilson County.
Survivors include three sons, Theodore R. Fields Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., James M. Fields of Irvine, Calif. and Edward Harris of Oxen Hills, Md.; nine brothers, Albert Ruffin Jr., Thomas L. Ruffin, Marvin Ruffin, Larry D. Ruffin and Harold Ruffin, all of Newport News, Va.; Clarence Davis, Willie Davis and Joe Davis, all of Washington, D.C.; and Ernest Davis of Bowling Green, Va.; nine sisters, Thessalonia Fields and Peggy Bullock, both of Oxen Hills, Md.; Angenette R. Corant and Brenda F. Ruffin, both of Durham; Barbara Fields, Elizabeth Davis, Judy Davis and Carolyn Davis, all of Washington, D.C.; Regina Ruffin of Newport News, Va.; and a host of grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Hertford County Undertakers Chapel, Winton, with Rev. Shirley Johnson officiating.
