Survivors include his wife, Vashtie B. Minnis of Ahoskie and an adopted daughter, Sandra Turnquest of Nassau, Bahamas
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday May 9, 2010 at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Woodland, with Rev. John Grant officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
