Glenn Elliott Webb, 76 of 302 Court Street, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at his home. Webb served in the US Coast Guard and received his teaching degree from East Carolina University. He was retired from the Virginia Beach Public School system. He was a member of the Virginia Beach Schools Education Association and the Industrial Arts Education Association. He was a member of the Gatesville Ruritan Club and a charter member of the Gatesville Hunt Club since 1955. He was a member of Gatesville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 1 at Gatesville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tracy L. Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Gatesville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lida Hoffman Webb of the home; his sons, Edward E. Webb of Gatesville and Michael G. Webb of Williamston; three grandchildren; his sister, Rita Foster; and his brother, Lloyd Webb. Garner Funeral Home in Kinston is handling the arrangements.
