William O’Neal Turner Sr., 42, of Roanoke Rapids died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh.
He was employed with Merita Bakery of Emporia, Va.
Survivors include his son, William O’Neal Turner Jr. of the home; his mother, Mary E. Rook and step-father, Rayfield Rook of Weldon; and siblings, Janet Bennett of Halifax, Ray Turner of Greenville, Terry Rook of Gaston, Otis Rook of Weldon, John Rook of Roanoke Rapids and Jesse Rook of Gaston.
A funeral was held on Monday, April 26 in the Roanoke Rapids Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie M. Greene officiating. Burial took place in the Jones Family Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
H.D. Pope Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, handled the arrangements.
