AHOSKIE – Fifty years and still going strong.
On Wednesday, Roanoke-Chowan Hospital honored Dr. Delano R. Lang and his family with a reception and ceremony for his 50 years of service to the Roanoke-Chowan area.
And Dr. Lang is not retiring yet! He continues in his family practice today.
A Resolution of Recognition from the RCH Directors’ Council was presented that said Dr. Lang has served the Roanoke Chowan Community for 50 years of family medical practice, as a former chief of staff at RCH, and is a lifetime member of the North Carolina Medical Society. He paved the way for the future of medicine as an early medical leader in the Roanoke-Chowan and has two sons in the medical field today. His work represents a lifetime of dedication to the field of medicine and to the service of others.
“I am pleased to announce the opportunity to establish and name the RCH Medical Grand Rounds in honor of Dr. Delano R. Lang,” stated Sandra Woodard, Director of Development. “We will be receiving donations and invite the public to support this endowment to honor Dr. Lang for his support of our Medical Grand Rounds by naming these in his honor.”
RCH employees, invited guests, and physicians attended the reception.
The RCH Medical Staff honored Dr. Lang earlier this year with an award for his service.
