Katherine Gillam Hale, 84, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Windsor House.
Born in Bertie County, she was retired from the Bertie County Extension Office and a member of Cashie Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Hale, Sr. of Windsor; s step-daughter, Len H. Joyner of Rocky Mount; a step-son, Rev. O. Wint Hale, Jr. of Murfreesboro; five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Sunday, April, 11, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Cashie Baptist Church with Dr. Carroll Tarkington and Rev. O. Wint Hale, Jr. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2–3 p.m. at the Cashie Baptist Church Fellowship Building.
