Charlie Futrell

Charlie Futrell died on Sunday, April 4, 2010.
A native of Hertford County, he was retired from Georgia Pacific lumber mill and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include eight daughters, Betty Ann Futrell, Bettie Futrell, Thelma Futrell, Geraldine Sessoms and Elizabeth Raynor, all of Ahoskie, Mary Crawford of Eure, Malinda Futrell of New York, NY and Patricia Parker of Suffolk, Va.; seven sons, James Charles Futrell of Aulander, James Roosevelt Futrell, Thomas Earl Futrell, James Albert Futrell, Calvin Earl Futrell and Roosevelt Robbins, all of Ahoskie, and Milton Horton of Washington DC; 35 grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Harris, Estelle Futrell, Bertha Majette and Lily Horton; and two brothers, Willie Futrell and James Futrell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 9 at Zion Grove Baptist Church, Aulander, with the Rev. James Mercer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
