Pauline Jones Brady, 86, of 400 King Street, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Mrs. Brady was born in Harrellsville, Hertford County, NC and was the daughter of the late John Carroll and Edith Cooper Jones.
Retired after 29 years from the Hertford County Register of Deeds Office, she was a member of Winton Baptist Church, its W.M.U., the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class, and had been a member of its choir for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Bruce Brady.
Surviving are her husband, George W. Lang; her daughter, Patricia B. Foster and husband, Robert, of Raleigh; her son, Stuart Brady of Winton; grandchildren, Candice Foster Thomas and husband, John, of Greensboro and Preston Brady of Virginia Beach; and a great-granddaughter, Brooke Brady. Also surviving are George’s family: daughters, Wanda Davis and husband, Herb, of Virginia Beach and Deborah Holliday of Chesapeake; and his grandson, Ryan Davis.
Funeral services were held Friday in Winton Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph Futrell. A private burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie.
Friends may join the family at the home.
