Shirley Mae Hall Hathaway, 65, of Gatesville died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Sentera Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Va.
Born in Gates County, she was a member of New Piney Grove Baptist Church and worked in housekeeping at Obici Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Hathaway of the home; a son, Anthony Hathaway of the home; her father, Elton Hall Sr. of Gatesville; a brother, Rev. Elton Hall Jr. of Gatesville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 29 at New Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Burial will take place in the Hall Family Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 1-7 p.m. at Hunter’s Funeral Home, Gates.
