Atlas Hilton Little, 83, of Seaboard died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Northampton County, he was a Navy veteran and a member of Seaboard United Methodist Church. He served as a Seaboard Town Commissioner for eight years. He worked at Community Drug Store in Seaboard and retired from the NC Department of Corrections as a health assistant where he received the Long Leaf Pine Award from the State of North Carolina.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Davis Little; children, James Little and Linda Benthall, both of Roanoke Rapids, and Joe Little of Carrsville, Va.; sisters, Rachel Little and Janie Hux and a brother, Carlton Little, all of Seaboard; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Seaboard Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Trussell and the Rev. Carol Taylor officiating.
The family will receive friends at the home.
