Charles Vaughan, Sr.

Mr. Charles Ray “Charlie” Vaughan, Sr., age 48, died at Pitt County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 11, 2010.
Charlie was born on June 25, 1961 and a native of Warren County. He graduated from John Graham High School in 1979.
Charlie was married to Cindy Isles in 1981 and to this marriage was born two wonderful children.
He was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church in Roxobel. He served as deacon and worked with music and other special programs as the sound technician.
Charlie was the chief of the Roxobel Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He owned and operated Vaughan’s Bin Service for some twenty eight years.
Charlie was a faithful and loving, husband, father, brother and friend. His love for his family and friends brought sunshine to everyone’s life.
Preceding him in death are his mother and father, Gertrude Mae Pitchford Vaughan and Charlie James “Buddy” Vaughan, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Isles Vaughan of the home; one daughter, Courtney Vaughan of Greenville; one son, Chase Vaughan of Roxobel; one brother, James Vaughan and his wife, Kathy, of Warrenton; one sister, Marian Franklin and her husband, Reggie, of Henderson; mother and father-in-law, Simmie and Janet Isles of Littleton; sister-in-law, Michelle Liles and her husband, Timmy, of Littleton; and brother-in-law, Bobby Isles and his wife, Dianne, of Aurelian Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Sandy Run Baptist Church in Roxobel with the interment following at the Roxobel-Kelford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Sandy Run Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
