James A. Vinson, 71, of Horton Church Road, Aulander, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Hertford County, he was a retired laborer and an usher at Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Aulander.
Survivors include his mother, Alvergia Vinson of the home; four brothers, Rubiart Vinson of Oxon Hill, Md., Clarence Vinson of Upper Marlboro, Md., Michael Vinson of the home and Danny Vinson of Ahoskie; and two sisters, Carrie Mont of NY and Diane Vinson of Upper Marlboro, Md.
A funeral will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 6 at Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Aulander, with the Rev. Ronald M. Dolberry officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
