Mrs. Hilda Hale Skinner, age 76, of Aulander died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
Mrs. Skinner was born June 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Charles Madison Hale and Marie Howard Hale. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Davenport. She was a member of Aulander Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Edward Skinner and his wife, Teresa, of Roanoke Rapids and Jerry Skinner and his wife, Alice, of Ahoskie. Other survivors include her special companion, Hanzel Davenport; her sister, Augustine Roundtree of Eure; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Matthews, Judy Boseman, Jennifer Vaughan, Joann Forbes and Kristian Skinner; and her great grandchildren, Austin Vaughan, Cody Vaughan, Briann Forbes, Brooke Forbes, Katie Matthews, Daniel Boseman and Kayla Boseman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home on Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.
