Simon Paul Bridger, Jr., 75, of 212 Powell Lane, Eure, died Friday evening, February 26, 2010, in Guardian Care of Ahoskie.
Born in Norfolk, Va., he was the widower of Willa Roberson Bridger and the son of the late Simon Paul and Thedis Sylvern Staton Bridger. He retired as a machinist with Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include three daughters, Renee B. Marshburn of Ahoskie, Robin B. Winslow of Sunbury and Rhonda Powell of Eure and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 5:00 PM in Cool Springs Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Gates County Volunteer Rescue Squad, 16 US 158 East, Gates, NC 27937.
