Vickie Diane Helton Small, 66, of Small Lane, Eure, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, Va.
Born in Richlands, Va., she was a homemaker and a member of Upper Room Assembly of God where she was instrumental in chartering both M.E.T.E.O.R. and the Bread Basket Ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Small; a daughter, Nancy S. Taylor of Eure; three sons, Dion Small of Edenton, Benny Small and Chuck Small, both of Eure; a sister, Margaret Futrell of Nashville; a brother, Jimmy Helton of California; and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. of Sunday, Feb. 7 at Upper Room Assembly of God with Pastor Eric Earhart and Pastor Tony Peaks officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery near the home. Friends may join the family at the residence.
