AHOSKIE – Could you use $500?
Are you good at following clues?
If you answered yes to both questions, then the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald has something right up your alley.
Beginning Saturday, the News-Herald will launch its annual “Crossroads” special section. This weekly publication (inserted in each Saturday edition throughout the month of February) is packed full of articles and photos featuring the people of the local area.
“Treasures” is the theme of the 2010 Crossroads. We will have articles on what we consider as local “treasures” of our four-county area.
In keeping with that theme, we will feature a contest, exclusive to the weekly printings of Crossroads. “Find Brian’s Booty” will run throughout the publishing dates of Crossroads – 2010 (Saturday, Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27). Clues regarding the location of the treasure will be published in each weekly edition of Crossroads.
Those wishing to participate can follow the weekly clues in an effort to guess where Brian Pavlick, Roanoke-Chowan Publishing’s Advertising Director, has hidden $500 in cash.
Enter your guess on where “Brian’s Booty” is hidden by completing the entry blank shown with the ad. No photocopies of the entry blank will be accepted.
Mail entry blanks to “Find Brian’s Booty”, c/o Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald, PO Box 1325, Ahoskie, NC 27910 or they can be delivered in person to the R-C News-Herald’s office located at the intersection of Main Street and Catherine Creek Road in downtown Ahoskie during regular business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m., M-F).
All entries must be received (or postmarked) by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 5.
There may be more than one entry with the correct answer. If that’s the case, then one winner will be selected in a random drawing of all correct entries. That winner will receive $500.
If there are no correct answers, then we get to keep Brian’s loot.
There is no limit on the number of entries submitted by one person. However, all entrants must be at least 18 years of age.
Employees of Roanoke-Chowan Publications, LLC and their families are not eligible to enter.
No purchase is required. Game pieces are available at the R-C News-Herald office in Ahoskie. One game piece is available per week, per visit. No photocopies of the game piece will be accepted.
Be sure to pick-up a copy of each Saturday’s edition throughout February and look for the “Find Brian’s Booty” ad inside the Crossroads section.
Good luck with your treasure hunt.
