Ruth Elizabeth Slusser McClure, 85, formerly of Fairmont, WV and more recently of Daniels Road, Corapeake, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Shinnston, WV, she was a homemaker and attended the Elizabeth City Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include her children’s father, Donald Eugene McClure of Fairmont, WV; two daughters, Donna M. Veneris and Linda M. Bufalino, both of Corapeake; four sons, Eric McClure of Hurricane, WV, John McClure of Carlisle, PA, Don McClure of Hildebran, NC and Bill McClure of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Mary Phillips and Jean Rhodes, both of Fairmont, WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Wednesday, Jan. 27 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, by Pastor John Coehlo. Burial followed in Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens, Hampton, Va.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
