Howard Taylor, 37, formally of Murfreesboro, died January 23, 2010 at his residence in Durham. A native of Hertford County, he was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. After school he enlisted in the US Army where he served as a computer technician. Survivors include three sisters, Khalilah Taylor of Winston Salem, Terryca Taylor of Durham and Christa Taylor of Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. James Shearn. Burial will be in the Vaughan Family Cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
