Casey Lee Jenkins, 14, of Depot Road, Eure, died Sunday, January 17, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident.
Born in Hertford County, he was a student at Gates County Central Middle School and a member of Open Arms Church in St. John.
Survivors include his parents, Gilbert Blake Jenkins, Jr. and Crystal Cale Jenkins of Eure; two brothers, Steven and Matthew Jenkins, both of the home; his grandparents, George and Ethel Cale of Colerain and Gilbert Sr. and Brenda Jenkins of Woodland.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Gates County Central Middle School with Pastor Joe Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow in Eure Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 at Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
