Clyde R. (Hardy) Davidson, age 90, of Aulander died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Guardian Care in Ahoskie.
Mr. Davidson was born in Aulander on January 16, 1919, the son of Spurgeon and Annie Hall Davison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lassiter Davidson, and a daughter, Paulette Davidson Holloman.
He was an avid fox hunter and outdoor enthusiast.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Janet Jaspers of Ormond Beach, FL., Brenda Davidson of Wilson, Michael Davidson of Columbia, SC, Wanda Bunn of Nashville and Jeffrey Davidson of Greenville; his brother, Spurgeon Davidson Jr.; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A special mention goes out to his niece, Louise Davidson Parker, and to his friends, Frank Lassiter, Turk Askew and Thomas Cowan.
Graveside services will be held, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Aulander Cemetery in Aulander.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services.
