Johnnie Earl Knight Jr., 58, of Snipes Street, Ahoskie, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Guardian Care Nursing Home, Ahoskie.
Born in Hertford County, he was a laborer with Majette Well Drilling Company in Ahoskie and a member of St. John Second Baptist Church, Aulander.
Survivors include his parents, Johnnie Earl Knight Sr. and Katherine Powell Knight of Ahoskie; two brothers, Robert Knight of Ahoskie and Richard Knight of Marion, SC; and three sisters, Louise Heckstall of Roxobel, Elizabeth Harrell of Winton and Sallie Artis of Aulander.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14 at Wilder’s Funeral Chapel in Aulander with the Rev. Milton Lee officiating. Burial will take place in the Wilder-Cherry Family Cemetery in Aulander.
