James Wesley Ballard Jr., 82, of Barfield Road, Eure, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Tecumseh, Okla., he was retired as owner/operator of Ballard’s Auto Repair in Gatesville and a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Riley of Osage Beach, Mo. and Sharon Jenkins of Eure; a son, Gary Dean Ballard of Suffolk, Va.; a sister, Louise Johnson of Kansas City, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14 at Reynoldson Baptist Church by the Rev. Todd Higginson and the Rev. Billy Presley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
