Levy Hayes Jr., 61 of Raleigh, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at his residence.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of Ashland Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired landscaper for Holland Landscaping.
Survivors include four sons, David Hayes, Michael Hayes of Colerain, Levy Hayes III and Alton Hayes of Hartford, CT;
two daughters, Naomi H, Liverman of Woodland and Bobbie Hayes of Powellsville; a brother, Leroy Hayes of Merry Hill; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 3 at Ashland Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Willie J. Best. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Windsor.
