La’senia B. Lassiter, 64, of Sunbury died Monday, December 28, 2009 at Sentara Norfolk Hospital, Norfolk, Va.
She was a native of Norfolk, Va.
Survivors include her husband, Nereus Lassiter of Sunbury; a son, Daren Lassiter Sr. of Newport News, VA; a daughter, Cherylaine Butler of Sunbury; three brothers, Edward Brinkley Jr. of Hampton, VA, Robert Brinkley of Portsmouth, VA and Dwight Brinkley of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Rachel Hinton of Belvidere and Clarice Wilson and Krista Brinkley, both of Portsmouth, VA; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 2 at St. John AME Zion Church, Sunbury, with the Rev. Samuel Buck Jr. officiating. Burial was in Drake Memorial Cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, handled the arrangements.
