Randy Lane Jernigan, 51, of 736 Elm Grove Road, died Tuesday December 29, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Hertford County on April 9, 1958 to Alton “Monk” and Janice Jernigan and was predeceased by an aunt, Betty Ann Jernigan; an uncle, Bobby Jernigan; and grandparents Otis and Annie Ruth Jernigan and Gurney and Magnolia Jernigan.
He was a self employed handyman and a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor by the Rev. Preston Jernigan. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother and father, Alton “Monk” and Janice Jernigan of Colerain; a brother, Lydon Jernigan and wife, Beth, of Windsor; nephew, Dustin Jernigan of Windsor; aunts, Marie Mizelle and husband, Larry, of Colerain and Anna Jernigan of Windsor; and uncles, Everett Jernigan and wife, Gail, and Ronnie Jernigan and wife, Rosa, all of Colerain.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother and father at 740 Elm Grove Road, Colerain.
