Joseph Watford, 78, of Winton died Thursday December 24, 2009 at Heritage Hospital in Tarboro.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Tann Watford of Winton; two sons, Alonza Tann of Wilmington, Del. and Joseph Watford of Durham; two daughters, Lillie Brockers and Kathy Futrell, both of Winton; four sisters, Josephine Hopkins and Geraldine Askew, both of Philadelphia, Pa., Naomi Mulkey of Pleasantville, NJ and Cora Speller, Portsmouth, Va.; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at First Baptist Church Winton with the Rev. Robert Horton officiating. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie.
Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
