James Anthony Dillard, 63, of Cofield died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at his residence.
He was a native of Gates County.
Survivors include his son, James E. Dillard of Williamston; a step-son, Tony L. Pruden of Garysburg and a step-daughter, Paula J. Eure of Gates.
A funeral will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 at Hertford County Undertakers Gates Chapel in Sunbury with the Rev. Elton Hall officiating.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 at Hertford County Undertakers Funeral Home in Winton.
