Margaret Cherry Hoggard, 68, of Angier died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center – Lillington.
Formerly of Lewiston, she was a native of Bertie County, a homemaker and a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church, Lewiston.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda M. Wesson of Sanford and Shirow Avery of Fredericksburg, Va.; three sons, Herbert M. Hoggard of Fredericksburg, Va., Jerry L. Hoggard of Philadelphia, Pa. and Clarence L. Hoggard of Indiana; three brothers, James Cherry, Paul Cherry and Augusta Cherry; five sisters, Althia Cherry, Fannie J. Lee, Mary Coley, Tecola Cherry and Brusie Lee Brooks; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rich Square with Rev. Franklin Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Wilder-Cherry Family Cemetery, Aulander.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel in Rich Square
