Mary Alice Boone Tyler, 76, of Woodland died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Va.
She was retired from the Northampton County Public Schools and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess.
Survivors include her husband, Titus Tyler Jr. of the home; a son, Billy Tyler of Las Vegas, NV; a granddaughter; and a brother, Haywood Boone of Portsmouth, Va.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Jerusalem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Tyler Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scholarship in Memory of Mary B. Tyler.
