James Edward Combo, 63, of Murfreesboro died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Vincey Combo, of Murfreesboro; five sons, Marcellus Mitchell of Virginia, Artabus Fauntleroy of Virginia, Alley Flauntleroy of Virginia, Joseph Flauntleroy of Kero and Issiah Flauntleroy of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Shirley Hoskins of Virginia; two brothers, Robert Combo of North Carolina and Williams Combo of North Carolina; four sisters, Lilan Boone and Lorraine Hall, both of Virginia, Clarie Copeland and Caryon Combo, both of North Carolina; 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20 at Hertford County Undertakers Chapel, Winton with the Rev. Elton Hall Jr. officiating. Burial will take place in Phillipi Baptist Church Cemetery.
