Evelyn Jernigan Brantley, age 80, died Saturday, December 12, 2009.
Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton D. Jernigan and Ida H. Jernigan and her husband, Edward K. Brantley.
She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy B. Taylor and her husband, Ricky, of Colerain; her son, Edward K. Brantley Jr. and his wife, Caryl, of Warrenton, VA; her sister, Rachael Taylor and her husband, Ralph; two brothers, Carlton Hughes and his wife, Janet, and Carroll Jernigan and his wife, Elouise; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie with the Rev. Tommy Kiker officiating.
Massey Funeral Home in Aulander handled the arrangements.
