Anne Alston Overton passed away Saturday, December 12 in Wilmington, NC.
A native of Ahoskie, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie for 70 years, where she taught Training Union Class for many years. She was a retired employee of Belk Tyler’s.
Survivors include three sons, Royce and David Overton of Mechanicsville, Va. and Dennis Overton of Wilmington, NC; and daughter-in-law, Fran Overton, formally of Ahoskie. She also is survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son John Wayne Overton.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. Rev. Kathy Hulin, of First Baptist Church, will be officiating. A private burial will take place in the Alston Family plot.
