Robert Tayloe

Robert D. “Bob” Tayloe died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.
Bob was born in Salisbury, NC on October 16, 1949. He grew up in Ahoskie, NC and has been a Chapel Hill resident most of his adult life.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and son, Daniel, of the home; his mother, Donna Wilson Tayloe of Chapel Hill; daughters, Tracey Brown (Bobby) of Ahoskie and Stacey Hale (Tony) of Fayetteville; step-daughter, Deirdre Hatley of Graham; and two grandchildren, Jameson and Elijah Brown.
His father, Truitt Tayloe; brother, Mike, and step-son, Chris, Hatley preceded him in death.
Bob was a beloved husband, father and son. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, but his greatest joy in life was coaching and watching Daniel on the baseball diamond.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service, and at other times at the home.
