Beatrice Clark Walton, 90, of Springhill died Friday, November 27, 2009.
Born in Bertie County, she a member of Springhill Baptist Church where she served on the missionary board and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include a son, Leon E. Walton of Queens, NY; a daughter, Willie O. Cherry of Lewiston; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Lee Arthur Clark, George Clark, Eugene Williams, Alexander Williams, Fred Clark and Robert Clark; nine sisters, Rosetta Clark, Ann Bowden, Shirley Clark, Queen Ellington, Doreen Williams, Hattie Williams, Verdell Clark, Margaret Williams and Clara Mae Odom.
A funeral was held on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Springhill Baptist Church, Lewiston. Rev. Leroy Douglas officiated. Burial took place in the church cemetery.
Cherry’s Funeral Home, Windsor, handled the arrangements.
