Semmie Tyler Canada, 102, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Born in Northampton County, she relocated to Greensboro in 1987.
Survivors include four daughters, Georgia Canada Pierce of Greensboro, Mildred Canada Holland of Burlington, Doris Canada Jamison of Greensboro and Shirley Canada Chavis of Greensboro; three sons, Daniel Canada of Pleasant Garden, William Canada of Tolland, Conn. and Isaac Canada of Greensboro; 31 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Sandy Branch Baptist Church in Roxobel.
Perry J. Brown Funeral, Greensboro, is handling the arrangements.
